Phew!  We flew back into a snowstorm tonight, but thankfully we got in safely…

Our vacation didn’t end as well as I would have liked, mostly due to mother nature not cooperating.  The temperature dropped dramatically over the last couple of days, and our archery session and my NASCAR ride along were canceled due to rain.  No worries, though.  I can do the ride along at any of 20 locations in the U.S.   Given the regionality of NASCAR, I’d bet the ranch that there’s a location in the Southeast, and I can swing by there in the summer when we head to Virginia, North Carolina, and Washington D.C.  We vacation a lot, don’t we?  Quite honestly, we want to experience these things with our kids while they’re growing up, so they can have some great childhood memories while learning a few things.  It’s where we spend our discretionary money, and I don’t regret it one bit, but I digress.

The inclement weather did give me time to watch the Buckeyes win the Rose Bowl!  Yeah!  It’s been a few years since the Bucks won a major bowl game.  Hopefully, this will give them some momentum heading into next season.

I’m kind of jumping around here, but I did leave Disney inspired.  I hope to implement some discipline into my routine to make some real progress in 2010 along those lines.  Also, after 10 days of incredibly poor eating, now is a good time to start eating right and working out with my son, who’s itching to get into the gym.  This should be a good way for us to strengthen our bond, too, since he’s at an age where he’s trying to establish who he is, and it sometimes causes some friction as he tries to spread his wings.  I love him very much, though, and recognize this as some of the same things I went through at his age.  He’s a wonderful boy.

I’ll post more later on as we get back into the routine of work/school/activities.  Tomorrow we are going to see the Transiberian Orchestra, and everyone’s looking forward to that!
